What are credits?
Credits belong to your RMCode account and are how reviews are metered. Standard reviews use 1 credit, Pro reviews use 5 credits, Max reviews use 20 credits, and Deep Audit reviews (beta, Max and Enterprise plans) use 40 credits. Your plan sets the deepest review tier available to you. Reviews running on your own Gemini key (BYOK) use no credits at all.
What is BYOK, and are reviews really free with it?
Bring your own key: add your own Gemini API key in Settings and your reviews consume no credits — model calls run on your key, billed to your Google Cloud project at Google's rates. Available on every plan; your plan still sets the deepest review tier available. One strict requirement: the key must belong to a billing-enabled project (Gemini API paid tier 1 or higher). Free-tier keys are rejected at setup because reviews burst many parallel model calls and would hit rate limits mid-review.
What is Deep Audit?
The most thorough review we know how to build: cited, verified, complete. Every finding in the Bugs section must be re-derived against your code with an exact citation before it can appear, and verified observations below the blocking bar are preserved separately so nothing true is thrown away. Currently in beta on Max and Enterprise plans at 40 credits per review; reviews run asynchronously and post when complete.
What's included in the free plan?
30 account credits each month, enough for up to 30 Standard reviews. No credit card, no trial. Standard quality already scores above most tools on the leaderboard. GitHub App + authenticated CLI included.
How is this different from other tools?
RMCode reviews with repository context, specialized passes, and an AI filter so findings stay specific and low-noise. The benchmark chart shows the measured tier results; official submission is pending.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Managed-key reviews pause when your included credits run out; advanced plans can add capped extra credits with limits you control. BYOK reviews keep running regardless, since they use no credits. Credits are never spent by unregistered repo collaborators.
Do GitHub App installs share one credit bucket?
No. Installing the GitHub App grants repo permission, but each PR author must connect their own RMCode account. PRs from unregistered authors get a complimentary Standard review instead of consuming the installer’s credits.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. Move to more review depth when you need it, or return to a smaller plan when you do not. No lock-in.
What is the AI Filter?
The AI Filter uses a secondary model to verify findings, reducing false positives so you spend less time dismissing noise. Included in Pro reviews.
